"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
So many times, God gives us what we need before we even ask, as it says in the Bible.
The windshield wipers on my car were not working properly. I had estimates from three different auto shops. They were all very expensive and entailed buying a new wiper motor and paying heavy labor costs to install. Since it was not winter yet, I put off getting it fixed. Meanwhile, I had been working to see God's hand in everything and was experiencing such good that I was very joyous. I stopped thinking about the wipers.
A few weeks later, I pulled into a tyre shop to have my tyres checked. It didn't dawn on me that they did any work on wipers. However, when the man walked me out to my car (yes, he walked me out to my car!) he mentioned that my wipers were not working correctly and that he thought he could fix them. I was flabbergasted, and of course, agreed.
The result was that soon everyone in the shop was involved in trying to fix them (even while promptly helping the other customers coming in). It was like a dance of grace to watch. Pretty soon, they had them fixed. They would not take any money for the work. It seemed to be such a joy to them that they had met the challenge. Their "dance" reminded me of the qualities of Mind and Soul. I was so delighted and they were so happy too. The next day, I took a pile of cookies to them along with a letter to the owner, mentioning them all by name and praising their work.
Of course, I know where the "origin and ultimate" (SH 487:3) praise belongs - with God. God knows what we need and sends His angels “to our side to comfort, guard, and guide” as Hymn 9 says. This healing proved to me that once we start to look for good, God, in something, we can find it everywhere.
