Healing Insight

I had an interesting insight recently. The week's Bible lesson was "Soul".

Many of the Bible citations dealt with the blessings of Soul. Jesus restored sight to a blind man. Supply was demonstrated in the feeding of the 5,000.  Also the attributes of Soul were evident in the lesson. Man was blessed by Soul. Man, as the expression of Soul, expresses love, joy, peace, harmony and life.

The Responsive Reading contained Psalm 139 verse 14. "I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."

"Fearfully" could mean "awe" as when the jaw drops in astonishment at something."  That's awesome!  "Wonderfully" could be expressed as full of wonder, surprise. "Marvellous" could be interpreted as excellent, fine, first rate, and top notch.  So the verse could mean this:  “I will praise Thee (Soul) for I am filled with awe and full of wonder and surprise at what Thou hast made. Excellent, first rate are Thy works and that my soul (spiritual sense) knoweth right well.”

A friend on returning from a trip abroad sent a card with the bold heading, "Always have something to declare.”  And I have declared this verse a lot, both for myself and others.

Well, I was considering the blessings of Soul and being blessed by Soul.

Thinking in this way, I saw it was not possible to think of myself as sick, sinning in some way, or lacking this or that. I could not be a victim of any kind.  It was totally incongruous to know myself as blessed by Soul and to be a victim of circumstance.
