"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
One morning in February this year, I woke up with an impulse to head for the mountains in Fujairah. It’s my habit to explore the mountains, desert landscapes and small towns within hours of where I stay in the Middle East. That morning I enthusiastically wanted to find a rare flower farm that was tucked away in a small valley in the Hajar mountains. After some muesli, with my painting gear in the car boot, I set off through the beautiful sandy landscape.
I found the flower farm located down a remote dusty track behind a small mountain village. I spent time looking, admiring, listening, and watching all that was happening there. I wandered through flowers and sat for some time in shaded pergolas soaking up the diversity of the setting and its local visitors.
As the temperature rose, I became uncomfortable and felt a bit squeamish, so I decided it would be best to head home. However, I was unable to drive easily, and had to stop every few meters. I settled my thought by praying for composure and the focus to drive for the 90- minute journey home.
However, I began to feel helpless. I rolled my car into the shade of a small thorny tree by the roadside and reached for my phone to call a practitioner. A wonderful, clear voice answered. In tears of relief, I asked for help. Immediately comforted and assured, I simply folded into beautiful present Love. I was safe “under his wing.” The clarity of these true words stilled me completely. I knew I was already Home.
When our called ended, I rested my head and fell asleep for 90 minutes in the shade of the little tree (the time it would have taken for me to reach home). When I woke up I was totally restored, renewed and grateful. I drove home effortlessly. Everything was glowing! It was an exceptional day. This is a second immediate healing of food poisoning I have experienced while travelling. I am so deeply grateful for Christian Science practitioners and their selfless prayer at work around the world—precious prayer abounding across the universe.
