One of our sons has had behavioural problems, and the school he attends had given him a last warning. We were concerned that he would be taken out of mainstream education and put in a special needs school, which we knew would be detrimental to his progress.
We asked a practitioner to help us, and were given an idea to help our son. If we called the bad behaviour “Sir Mortimer” it would help him to see that this wasn’t him! It was only “Sir Mortimer” who was being given a warning, and he didn’t want Sir Mortimer around either. His behaviour started to improve immediately, and he showed more self-control.
We were asked to go to a meeting with some members of the governors and council and also a child psychologist. Some years ago this man had said our son wasn’t clever and had possibly got brain damage. But we came to the meeting feeling firmly rooted in divine Mind, and seeing all of us as enveloped in the protective environment of Love and Principle.
The psychologist didn’t remember me from before, and was quite different - warm and friendly. Everyone agreed that our son should remain in mainstream education, and they said they would try and get funding for extra help for him.
But the best thing of all is that our son has started reading! His reading age has shot up, and we are all helping him at home. The blockage has been broken and he’s moving forward by leaps and bounds.
