"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
I had had an opportunity to spend more time studying the Bible and Science & Health. Through my studies it was becoming more and more apparent to me that each child of God is loved and is complete- right here, right now. This completeness includes food, housing, work, & companionship and is manifested according to each individual’s needs.
Therefore, if a belief of loss presents itself, we can know that God’s man is complete- right this instant, and therefore there can be no loss of any kind.
Last summer as I was driving down my road I saw Missing Dog signs and realised that our neighbour’s standard poodle was missing. As I passed the sign, I claimed that no one – be it a person, animal or a thing- can go missing in God’s kingdom as He knows where everything is, as it is His Kingdom. Furthermore, this dog was a part of my neighbour’s family, and part of the completeness of that family. Therefore, it had a right to be with the family, and the family had a right to be with it.
This is what completeness meant. Completeness is not an ‘all together except for’, but is totally intact. Also, because this dog lives in God’s kingdom, I knew that even though I might not be ‘seeing’ the dog at our neighbour’s house, I could be confident that the dog was being taken care and had everything he needed every moment.
A few days later I saw the mom of the family with this missing dog. She told me that the dog had been found the previous night. He had travelled several miles away, across both sides of a dual carriageway, and was in good shape though a bit tired. The mom was amazed that he hadn’t been hit, or had any other problems from this experience except for being tired.
I rejoiced with her and thanked God for this demonstration of completeness and for how He does take care of each of His ideas.
