Angels

Over this past year, I have become more and more aware of how God is constantly communicating with us- even if we’re not paying attention. I have found that when faced with a challenge or even a negative feeling that right then in the background is an angel thought that counters & destroys any reality in this negativity.

I have learned though that it is not enough to be quiet audibly & mentally to hear the angel thought, but that also I need to turn away from the error and let my thought be filled with the truth.

Here are a few instances when I realised that God’s angels were talking to me, ministering to me and reminding me how much God loves us.

* One morning I woke feeling down. Faintly in thought though, were the words “You are loved” from one of Cherie Brennan’s songs. I realised that I could focus on this truth- that I was loved, but I needed to take a stand mentally. I did this, and was soon joyfully ready to face the day.

* Another time, I felt overwhelmed by things I felt “I” needed to get done. In the background though was the last line of The Lords Prayer as sung in one of the songs on “Inhabiting Eternity”. ‘For Thine is the kingdom, and thine is the power & thine is the glory forever.” I was able to turn away from the “To Do list” and any personal sense associated to these activities, and appreciate that my job was to glorify God in all my activities.

* At one point there were many different activities happening with each member of the family, and the schedule seemed overwhelming. Yet, right when a feeling of being overwhelmed started to engulf me, the thought that ‘Life, Truth and Love the pattern make” came to thought. By turning thought to this idea and the ways that Life, Truth & Love were being expressed, a sense of being overwhelmed lifted and was replaced with a sense of joy for all the good ahead.

I do believe that God is constantly talking with us. We just need to stay quiet enough to hear these angels!
