Our administrative association documents are housed here, as well as meeting information from previous years.
This paper sets out the benevolence policy for the CSSAP of Fenella Bennetts, CSB, to provide guidelines whereby the Finance Committee, (FC), can rapidly approve, or not approve, requests for support other than for international travel assistance for Association attendance which is covered separately.
The purpose is to provide temporary and practical assistance to our members to support their spiritual journeys until such time as they are able to meet such needs themselves. This in turn blesses our Association family. A request for benevolence may come from any Association member who feels such need, either as a one-off request or on a short-term ongoing basis. Such requests may include:
Such requests may be initiated by the member seeking help or, more usually, from the Association Secretary, (or Treasurer), who will be keeping in close touch with members and so is the most likely person to be aware of a need. Members of the Finance or Executive Committees might also identify a member's need and discuss it quietly with the member or ask the Secretary to do so depending on who has a stronger personal relationship with the member.
Benevolence support is part of our discretionary Association budget, along with international travel, and the financial assistance allocated necessarily depend on funds available each year.
Requests for benevolence support are handled on a confidential basis and never publicised to Association members in general.
