"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
I had a wonderful experience of ‘the Father knoweth your need before you ask’ earlier this year.
I have been working through the class notes and studying, but not for anything specific, and have grown so much, but the changes have been gradual rather than that ‘wow’ moment. However one thing springs to mind:
At the end of last year I realised that if we had to manage on one salary at home it would not be mine. My husband’s salary would meet our needs, but not mine if it was the only salary. I thought nothing more of this and was not concerned, as it was not an issue – and still isn’t, until it came to my appraisal at work. Having discussed the previous year my manager asked me if my hours were sufficient and then told me that if I needed to increase my hours, that is go back to full time working, then all I had to do was ask. I was then told what my salary increase was to be – it was to be increased to a level that working full time would allow the family to survive on one salary if necessary.
When I looked back at my thoughts on this matter I could not help but smile to realise just how well cared for we are. I think, when this happens in the current economic climate too it is even more wonderful.
