As I was waiting to place my donation into the collection bag one Sunday, my eyes rested upon the statement on the wall. “Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.” (Science & Health p 494:10) As I pondered this familiar statement, it challenged my thought. Am I seeing that Divine Love is meeting every need of this church - its members, its buildings, its finances, or do I more often apply that statement to situations outside the church’s front door? I realised right then that each Sunday when the collection bag is passed around, I have an opportunity to claim that Divine Love is meeting any need of this church and those present at the service whether the need be financial or otherwise.

When this idea came to thought, our church was having some cash flow challenges. Within a short period, the problem cleared up, and at a recent Members’ meeting, members were advised that the church now had a surplus.

I know that every church member was praying to address this belief of limitation. I am grateful to have had an angel thought that answered my prayer for how I could support the church.
