"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
Dearest Friends,
Once again you have met without me, but know that I am with you in spirit. My visa application was rejected because I stopped working to continue with my studies. I will complete school later this year and have already acquired a job which I will start immediately after my course. This will solve all visa problems and I will finally join you next year.
I just want to share an experience I had late last year when Ghana hosted a youth summit. We had 80 participants from three African countries and The Mother Church team which helped organize the summit. This was the first time one has ever been held in Ghana. I was a facilitator, and at the same time was in charge of feeding and lodging all the participants! It was really a busy assignment, but very enjoyable meeting with different Christian Scientists and sharing Science.
On the summit day, I placed my two mobile phones in a package given to us and placed it God only knew where! I had to make an important call before I realized I did not have my package, so I asked a couple of friends if I had given it to them but they said no. Some suggested I made an announcement, and one of them went and informed the MC but no announcement was made. There and then a thought came to me, that I was about my Father’s business and could not incur loss, as there is no loss in Mind. I was then relieved and acknowledged God’s presence with me. I contacted a practitioner at the summit for support. Friends started contacting me later to ask if I had found the phone, but kept assuring them that it was safe and that I would find it at the right time. I was busy with my duties when the practitioner sent for me and handed over my package with the phones inside.
Apparently a participant found it and thought she would hand it to one of the organizers, but she then decided to give it to the practitioner sitting next to her, not know that she was already praying about it. God really has His ways of doing things, and if only we will learn to be patient, we will live in peace and harmony knowing that that in all things God is in control.
Dearest friends, as we meet once again let us love this wonderful revelation of knowing God, for it is the only true happiness we have. Thank you all for learning Christian Science, and Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful revelation which meets every need. Much love, Ivy
