Experiencing the presence of divine Love at this year’s Easter Camp for young Christian Scientists.
I had a very inspiring time at Easter Camp this year, and one event in particular stood out to me.
I had been talking with a friend, and mentioned a passage I remembered from "Twelve Years With MBE", where a woman watched Mrs Eddy greeting her followers, and suddenly felt the true power and meaning of divine Love -- and God’s Mother-love in particular. She looked around and saw Love resting on everything, the birds, the grass, the children - and at that moment her young daughter was healed of a painful boil on her head.
Then, a day or two later, one of the Easter Camp organisers chose to read that very passage at our daily morning meeting, which I thought was an interesting coincidence.
A day or two after that, we took part in some discussion groups, and I attended one on "true spiritual identity." It was an extremely inspiring and uplifting discussion, and at one point I suddenly felt this incredible sense of Love with me and everyone. I looked round the room, and felt this pure universal Love resting on everyone I saw. I felt that I was experiencing, to a certain extent, what that lady had felt in Mrs Eddy's garden. It was a most special moment, and one I shall remember for a long time!
