The earth truly has been stirring! All the way from our homes, villages, nations, continents, and our entire world. Incurable diseases, wars, terrorism, are all trying to make us stand in awe of them. Evil seems to be striking with a lot of force. Can we really agree to be plunged into the Dark Ages? NO! We cannot accept this nonesense. Our lives moment by moment attest the power of God and His Christ Truth. We are not hanging on a cross of unfulfilled joy. We shall never fall from our high estate of knowing our alignment with divine Mind, God.
My father has been regularly tempted by illness. He has been hospitalized and told he has chest cancer. Due to pressure in thinking about his life he felt so insecure. Any time he talked to us or anybody he showed a lot of despair in life. He thought all was over with him in this world. We deeply loved our Dad and we never waited to see him undergoing this. I and my sister started spending a lot of time with him, showing him the importance of life and the unreality of illness. The knowledge of Christian Science we expressed coupled with a lot of love uplifted him and he began to find himself as God’s man.
The person caring for him encouraged him in many things. He showed him how he had lovely children who cared for him so much, and that he should have no worry for his life. He told him he seemed strong and could live for many years. This completely imbued my father with new life. In his weakness he felt strong. The walking stick he had used he doesn’t use any more. He feels he is daily dropping the old man and replacing him with the new. He has come out from the error’s falsehood to the marvelous beacon of light.
Christian Science has truly given me such a glorious life of being privileged to witness others redeemed, healed, and advanced through the Christ. Healing is the new birth. It is awakening. It is new birth, new purpose, direction and expression. It is what takes place as we communicate the Science of Christ to our loved ones.
It is mentally challenging these days, but we shall continue to work in Christian Science and have the victory. Our Leader says,
“In the dark hours, wise Christian Scientists stand firmer than ever in their allegiance to God. Wisdom is wedded to their love, and their hearts are not troubled. Falsehood is on the wings of the winds, but Truth will soar above it. Truth is speaking louder, clearer, and more imperatively than ever. Error is walking to and fro in the earth, trying to be heard above Truth, but its voice dies out in the distance.....right wins the everlasting victory.” (Mis 276:31-12)
