Fear Disappeared

A grip of fear seemed very intensive and aggressive, and this in turn manifested as physical symptoms.  For a quite long time, I prayed, studied, but the fear remained. One fear was of losing hair, and another was flashing fearful thoughts especially during driving.

I asked a practitioner to pray with me.  This period of time became very precious to me.  The thoughts and insights that the practitioner shared with me were so tender, so gentle, and so loving that I felt buoyant although healing did not take place right away. 

Later on, the practitioner pointed out to me the article—“Death did not end my life” by Howard Johnson from the Christian Science Sentinel.   I could not get over the sense of fearlessness the author expressed whenever he was facing the trials in his life.  In comparison with what he had gone through I could see that I was making a ‘something’ out of ‘nothing’. 

Well, this really woke me up from the mortal dream.  It was like a light suddenly shining in a dark room and the darkness—the mesmerism of fear—just disappeared.  I felt such relief and freedom, and most of all, no more separation, but a clear sense of oneness with God, Who is all- encompassing good.
