Fruits of the Year

As we have gradually added new fruits to our menu over the years, so we gain new ideas when we add to our Christian Science Fruit Basket.

For the past year or two I have been working with the idea of “living in the now” -- no past and no future to contend with. We are always in a position to reflect God’s qualities and to receive new ideas which help us to progress.

This year I have been working with the idea of “oneness.” There is no duality and we are not partly spiritual and partly human beings. The idea of oneness, completeness, is very helpful when we hear the news that the world is telling us. A recent Sentinel article, “How to stop a war,” showed us how the writer, when confronted with any inharmonious situation, turned to God and placed everyone in divine Love’s care, and she always saw a peaceful solution of any difficulty. This is a good lesson for day to day living of what we know of Christian Science. I am very grateful for favourable outcomes of day to day problems of looking after a house and its maintenance.

I am grateful that my church family enable me to act as Librarian and a Board member. We hold a forum once a month, and have discussed such topics as “Conflict Resolution - a spiritual approach.” These discussions have brought out many new ideas to help us in our work of healing for the world.
