"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
“I feel God’s presence with me here” - and everywhere
I had a lovely healing while I was in America recently.
I'd been having severe joint pain in one hip before I left, which a practitioner was helping me with. Her prayers gave me some relief, but when I was out there it came on again very severely.
I sat in the sun and just turned to God and asked for his message for me. I became filled with the sense of His presence and His love for me, and the simple allness of that was wonderful. It had seemed a long time since I'd felt that sense of blessings enveloping me. By the end of the afternoon my hip was better, and the pain hasn't returned at all.
I also had a 24 hour delay on my flight coming home due to the knock- on effects of bad weather. A practitioner helped me again (by text!) and so many blessings came out of it. I wasn't financially out of pocket. I got to do some extra visits that hadn't fitted in before. I met two lovely taxi drivers, and a fellow passenger whose father had just passed on in Brazil, and with whom I was able to share some simple but helpful ideas.
In the end the rearranged flights fitted together with a much less waiting time, and I had no jet lag problems when I got home. Even my luggage made it very easily (although not on the same flight as me!) It was one of those times when I felt I'd been so much closer to God all week that there could be nothing but blessings from the delay.
I even found that when seeing a disturbing news item at the airport, I instinctively corrected its message with the truth of God's immediate and universal care for everyone. Again, it is a while since I’ve instinctively responded to such things in that way, and it was so much more effective than trying to ignore it or forget about it.
