"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
I recently walked to our local shop for a couple of items. Not wishing to take a handbag, I put a £5 note into the bottom of my deep coat pocket, and put my house keys on top, thinking it would be safe. However, when I got to the till, the money was missing, so I was unable to make my purchases. Outside the shop I stood and considered that the one Mind knows where everything is, and so I could find it. However, it was a very windy day, so the money could easily have blown away, and lots of people were walking, as the road had been closed to vehicles for resurfacing, so anyone might have seen the dropped note and picked it up.
Nevertheless, I carefully retraced my steps, and after about 10 minutes, was very grateful to find it, just on the edge of the pavement where the grass verge started, despite a strong wind and other people walking past. I’m very grateful for God’s shepherding, even in the details of our lives.
