I would like to share my healing from grief when my younger sister passed on at a relatively early age. During her illness and subsequent preparations for the funeral I felt strengthened and encouraged by declaring the truths of Christian Science about life and existence. I was able to share these thoughts lovingly with my family and we felt very united, comforted and strengthened. We loved her very much and she had known that.
On the day of the funeral rather than feeling sad and bereaved I felt an absolutute conviction that my sister was all right. This uplifted sense of the continuity of Life and well-being stayed with me from that moment on. This spiritually uplifted sense helped me to perform my duties on that day and to comfort and reassure others. Having faced some considerable challenges in the course of last year I was and still am most grateful for this freedom."
"I am also very grateful for general good health over the past year, in particular experiencing protection from catching colds. Notwithstanding being in close proximity to many people suffering from this belief I remained perfectly healthy throughout the winter.
I would also like to express my gratitude for a healing of toothache. I woke one morning recently with discomfort and a tooth which was obviously sitting too high up in the gum. After a short time of praying I decided to see the dentist, in part because I had been thinking of getting a general check up and cleaning done. The dentist pronounced doom and gloom and offered to pull the tooth out there and then. He did seem rather put out when I said I would like to think about it before making a decision! I then called a dear practitioner who prayed for me and within a week I was back to normal. In fact I decided not to go back for teeth cleaning even as I feel that having not required the services of a dentist for at least 10 years it would be counterproductive to start now! I know that divine Love is meeting all my needs including dental hygene.
