Healing a Friend

(This testimony was sent by someone whose engagement had recently been broken off.)

In all areas of my life I really feel that I have gained a better sense of God as Love, and come to realise He is truly my husband.  I have become able to say ‘thank you’ for this wonderful opportunity to become closer to God, without which I think I would never have realised my own completeness.

In addition, one of my main reasons for going through class was in order to be able to help others better through prayer.  I have been able to do this many times this year, sometimes silently, sometimes when asked specifically to do so.

The fruitage of one such experience occurred a few weeks ago.  For a while this person had had a growth on their lip which they had ‘put up with’ for many years.  Eventually when no progress was made they sought the advice of a doctor who said it could not be removed because it was too close to the lip.  I think this was the turning point.  I offered to pray for this friend, and said that daily I would undertake to claim their immunity from any erroneous thoughts and affirm that their true growth could only be spiritual.  I did this for a few weeks until I felt at peace.  The growth had begun to diminish at this point.  A week after this I received a phone call from this person saying that having looked in the mirror one morning they realised the growth had fallen away, and they couldn’t even recall when this had happened.  They said, “It is as if nothing has been there.”
