Healing of a Broken Arm Affter Slipping in Snow

From the first minute I was conscious of being surrounded by kindness and helpfulness, and in the midst of ambulances and noise was able to say the “scientific statement of being” to myself.

I can see now that this lifted my thought above the dismay and pain, and I feel it prepared me to receive the practitioner’s words, “Accidents are unknown to God...We must unite with the one Mind if we would gain the Christ as our only saviour.”  It was the phrase “unite with the one Mind” that proved to be the dynamic for the healing.  There are no breaks in divine Mind.  If my thought was united with the one Mind, the bone itself could only express that unity.  I felt closer to the Christ.

Two weeks later I remember the consultant’s look of surprise at the progress of the healing, and again astonishment - almost disbelief - two weeks after that.  Letters sent to the surgery saying the bone had healed “remarkably quickly” told me that a lovely healing had taken place.

I now add this healing to my list of treasures and am left with more love for Christian Science and fresh respect for Mrs Eddy’s writings.
