"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
My biggest healing this year has been of family relationships.
For over twenty years a close family member has, without knowing it, I'm sure, divided, manipulated, separated and alienated close relatives. This has been very grievous and caused many bitter discussions.
However, throughout it all, with Christian Science and Jesus' command to love one another and always beholding the 'perfect man,’ I have been able never to react with anger, and on every occasion looked in her face and seen her as the perfect child of God. Sometimes, with other family members, I have spoken of the need to forgive perpetually - until seventy time seven!
Some months ago this person changed and has become friendly, hospitable and family-minded. It's lovely.
This experience has taught me a great lesson in the need for and the rewards of patience. I have grown in Christian Science because I now apply patience to other healings. "Though it tarry, wait for it; for it will surely come; it will not tarry.
