"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
"Day by day the manna fell,
O to learn this lesson well." Hymn 47
The emphasis this past year has been on living in the 'now' - no past, no future, just the ever-presence of divine Love. Keeping these ideas at the forefront of our thinking helps to shut out the 'what ifs' and the 'yes buts' with which mortal mind continually tries to get our attention.
During the past few months many changes have taken place, including alterations to the house - all of which have been accomplished smoothly and efficiently and with no delays involved.
I am very grateful for a better sense of goodness day by day, and learning to see everyone in their true light - in other words being less judgmental and more open to loving all with whom we come into contact.
This quotation is from an address given by Julia Johnston to 8th Church, New York. (She is one of the early workers in the Christian Science Movement.)
"In this age our revered leader, through her revelation of Truth, has made possible for the world transition from the condition of desire for scientific knowledge of spiritual reality, to possession of divine understanding. She teaches that desire is prayer, and that prayer is answered of God."
"Christian Science takes us through the open gate of answered worship to the sense of present possession of radiant reality! Nothing can blind us to this palpitant presence, nor delay our footsteps of demonstration along this royal road.”
