"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
One of my most significant healings this year was from a disease which manifested itself on my face. It was pretty obvious to look at, and seemed to be a recurring issue about once a year. Not only that, but at one point I'd looked up the symptoms on the internet, which made the error seem so much more real to me!
When I started to pray about it, I was very concerned with digging into my own thought and reversing some errors I'd made in the past which seemed to be the cause of this issue. I prayed along the lines of "expunging" the material history. After doing this for a while, it became clear that it wasn't working. Instead, it was just making me rehearse what had happened in my past.
I chose to stop this and rose up in rebellion against the disease. The thought came strongly that there was no cause to the disease--that it comes from nothing and will return to nothing, because it IS nothing. I remember writing these words down in my notepad and underlining them. The symptoms quickly abated.
A week or so later, the symptoms returned. I was looking in the bathroom mirror and again repeated, "This comes from nothing, and will return to nothing, because it IS nothing." However, this time it didn't seem to be enough, so I continued, “…because God is All." That was the end of the problem!
A couple of times since, fear of the symptoms returning has arisen, but I have been able to put them out with the confidence I have in God as the only power, and Spirit as the only reality.
