I have experienced several healings this year. One was a lovely demonstration of God’s protection when, as I drove home from church during a severe gale, I turned a corner and came across a large tree fallen across the road. Myself and another driver were protected from harm.
I thanked God for His care, but this experience made me think very deeply about why tragedy happens to some and not others, especially after the awful weeks of 11 September in New York. I do not have an answer to the question and am working on it, but I knew that I feel very grateful to Mrs Eddy for giving us the means to look beyond the human picture and see that in every seemly desperate and impossible situation Love is ever-present and active, enabling us to find the good which is always there somewhere.
