Pure motives

I was travelling to meet a friend about an hour away. Most of the journey  was on the M25 and the M3. When I reached the entrance ramp for the  M25, traffic ground to a halt. I looked to the right of me and could see  four lanes of stationary traffic, with the speed boards indicating 15 mph.  My Sat-Nav showed that traffic was stopped for the next seven junctions  in both directions.

As I sat there stationary for about ten minutes, I had an angel thought. That every driver’s motive for being on the road was to bless someone or  something. For some, it was to get to a work appointment. For others, it  was to deliver a desired parcel or to meet a friend. I felt quite deeply that  each person could only be blessed by having these good motives. Within a  few minutes, all the traffic cleared up. The cars started moving with the  speed boards showing the national speed limit and all the red lines on my Sat-Nav disappeared for the whole length of the motorway.

Some might say it was a coincidence, though usually it takes some time  for things to get back to normal after such a problem, and in this case,  time wasn’t a factor.
For me though, it was an example of the power of an idea from God,  acknowledged, and an example of how much He loves each of His  children.
