Sacrament

Before joining the Church of Christ, Scientist, in my former denomination we were taught that the holiest thing was sacrament, or the holy communion.   During the day of taking it everyone knew he needed to be holy, just as the sacrament was holy.   The congregation just believed that if you couldn't  sanctify yourself, something bad could happen to you.  After that; life continued normally until the time for it came round again. It was good, but it was limited to the occasions!

I thank God for Christian Science because it has purified and cleansed my thought.  It has given me a new birth, not just for an occasion, but for moments going into moments.  Ours is a surety in the presence of joy in the resurrection thought here and now.  If we build a strong defense of virtue and truth, all will stand in awe of this power of Christ.
