Seeing What Is Already There

Last year our family felt it the right time to buy a new car.  The money was available and there was a view about the type of car that would work best for us.

When the idea was first discussed, I felt very strongly that if this was a right idea, then it would all fall into place.  It did not need to be forced or burdensome, but instead could be a true unfoldment.  Furthermore, each of God’s children is complete- with everything needed at that moment.  If a new car was to be part of that expression right now, then it would appear.  If this was not the right time, then it wouldn’t appear and each family member could be at peace feeling confident that this was right as well.

My husband, who is not a Christian Scientist scoured the various on-line sites.  He finally found a car with the desired qualities, but it was located about 300 miles away.  He didn’t feel that this was right, especially living so close to one of the most populated parts of the country with so many options for second hand cars.  I continued praying as my husband continued his trawling.  We were both busy and so didn’t have time to talk about it any further until a couple of days later.

My husband expressed his frustration to me- he felt the desire and money was there, so why wasn’t the car?  I explained that I strongly felt that if it was meant to be, and we were to have a new car, it would happen & without any of the frustration he was currently feeling.

A few hours later that same day, it came to me to ask my husband if he had looked into what might be available at the car dealer a mile from our house.  My husband replied “What dealer?” even though it was less than a mile from our house and quite a large building.  My husband had driven past it numerous times each week for several years, but hadn’t ‘seen’ it!  We had time later that same day to stop into the dealer.  My husband listed what we were looking for, and the salesman smiled.  He replied that a second hand car had arrived that morning, which met our criteria, and was priced for less than our budget.

By the end of the week we were owners of a new car, which was exciting.  What was even more exciting was realising that as God’s children we are always complete, and that if something is to be part of our experience, it can come into our experience without any burden or need for a huge exertion on our part.  Instead, when we turn our desires over to God, and are ready to listen, we can expect to ‘see’ the manifestation in our lives.
