Shiny blue covered Science and Health books were for sale after a Christian Science lecture so I bought one to add to my collection. But God had another plan for the book because two days later whilst driving with my son we were forced off the road by an overtaking vehicle which made our car impact with the one in front driven by a woman who was emotionally disturbed by her brother’s terminal illness.
The week before I had pondered the statement in S&H page 424: Accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind, and we must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind, in order to change the notion of chance to the proper sense of God's unerring direction and thus bring out harmony.
Because no one was injured we felt united in the one Mind. Rejoicing with the woman over our protection she said she believed there must be some good in life. This triggered my offering to send her the newly purchased book as God's unerring direction which she readily agreed to accept.
Within a week she acknowledged the receipt of its arrival, was reading it with great interest and, is looking forward to doing her own healing.
The seeming nightmare of life in matter yielded an opportunity for her to receive the gift of life in Spirit as given to us by Mary Baker Eddy in Science and Health, with its manifold blessings of Truth.
