One day while studying, I began to experience aggressive, flu-like symptoms. I was led to immediately open the bible to the 91st Psalm. As I was studying it, and feeling much progress, I got a phone call from a relative who was in transit with a group of out-of-state family members who invited me to lunch within the hour. I accepted, knowing I was fine. I continued studying until the group arrived, had a good lunch, and spent the afternoon shopping and touring, with no return of discomfort. This healing for me was proof of the power of the Truth to heal. In Psalm 91 it says: "He shall call upon me, and I will answer:" I did. And He did.
Another morning I awoke in great pain in my neck and head. A variation of line 31:27in Deut. came to me: "For I know they rebellion and thy stiff neck..." I knew I didn't have to put up with that lie. Hymn 135 also came to me: "I know no life divided, O Lord of life, from Thee..." I prayed to know the Allness of God and the nothingness of error. Then the sweetest line from Mis 370:16 came to me: "This is the babe that twines its loving arms about the neck of omnipotence, and calls forth infinite care from His loving heart." I think I might have dozed off then, and when I awoke, all pain was gone. I was happy to be pain-free, but way more grateful to see one more proof of the speed and effectiveness of Christian Science healing!
