"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
After over fifty years of happy maririage I was quite suddenly left on my own. I was very grateful for the loving practitioner who helped me to see that life is eternal, and that there is no separation. During the past few years I have found that every need has been happily met. The gratitude list just goes on:
• For the wonderful support of family - daughters, grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
• For Church friends, and opportunities to serve in the church: in Sunday School, in the Reading Room, and at present as first reader.
• At home I found a congenial and interested gardener to look after the garden.
• When there was a need to change the car, one phone call brought about a satisfactory conclusion.
• Forgetting to take my glasses with me to the desk one Wednesday evening, I was able to take the service with no hesitation.
• The second Wednesday when I had just started to read, I realised that I could not hear a testifier who was on the front row. I worked to know that the office of reader had to be filled correctly. A partial recovery took place by the next service, and improvement followed on from that time.
I am very grateful for many old friends and for new ones found among people of all ages. Perhaps most important of all is a sense of God’s love and protection which is here for each one of us all the time.
