"Precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:10
‘WHATEVER HOLDS HUMAN THOUGHT IN LINE WITH UNSELFED LOVE, RECEIVES DIRECTLY THE DIVINE POWER.'
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy Page 192: 30).
The above statement was quoted to me by a Practitioner after I had shared the following healing with her.
It was in Burma, (Myanmar), while on a 12 day journey on a teak boat cruising down the Irrawaddy River from Mandalay to Prome. A few people were going down, seemingly, with food poisoning. Then about 2 days before reaching Rangoon (Yangon), I as well as many others were very unwell. I had been up all night in great discomfort and was praying with all my heart. I was able to get up later that day. It had been arranged that I was to accompany 3 of the other passengers to a famous market in the afternoon of the day we were to arrive in Rangoon.
It was while we were in the market that I very suddenly and without warning became completely overcome with the heat and had to hold my thought intensely still and focus on God for fear of not being able to make it back to the hotel with the others. None of them knew of my predicament which was fortunate!
Upon reaching the hotel I had to ignore everyone and go straight to my room. The next day I was due to meet with staff from an international, Christian, non-governmental organisation. A very lovely Burmese girl had arranged for me to meet with many many children at different projects. The itinerary and her sweet note to me lay on the table beside my bed along with her contact details. The thought came to me that I should not be able to make it and must call and cancel. Then a gentle angel message came to me to just be still and quiet and cease my efforts! The main thing was that I did not want to let the children down. No, I did not wish to do this at all. I kept holding to this idea. I could not do it to the children who were expecting me as the day had been planned for some time.
Before I knew it, it was morning, and I was completely well and able to go off and have the most rewarding and beautiful day. We visited an orphanage, a couple of area development projects, a foster home, a street children’s centre and a shelter where young girls were being cared for and rehabilitated after having been raped, sexually abused or had been forced or sold into prostitution. This last project was the most heartrending to cope with. I just mentally threw my arms around each one of them and clung to their innocence and purity for a long time.
Even though it had been an extremely hot and humid day I hardly noticed it because of being so touched by the children and what they were teaching me! I was so deeply moved by all that I experienced throughout the entire day. But above all this was the gratitude I felt for the healing so I was able to participate in the visit to see all the children. It turned out to be such a huge blessing. I continue to be in awe of this healing.
