Work Healing

Another testifier, who has moved into a new and much wider field of work, found herself in the middle of much hiring and firing and moving of goalposts for the program she was responsible for. She felt she was in a boat, tacking back and forth, not getting anywhere.

At church one Wednesday she mentioned this, and another testifier mentioned that any good sailor would tell you tacking wasn’t wasting time, but in fact was the safest and easiest way to head upstream in the wind!

Over the next few months many further shifts and manoevers continued to take place, but the outcome was that during the “tacking” time things had been falling into place with every tack!  A new boss arrived, and her own job was able to expand beyond anything she could have dreamed.

There were other fine demonstrations in terms of finding new personnel to work on her program, including finding financial resources which were not immediately apparent.

I especially love her final sentence:  “I truly want to express gratitude for a heightened awareness of the kingdom of God.”
